Stand beside one another 'cause it ain't over yet
I'd be willing to bet that if we don't back down
You and I will be the ones that are holding the crown in the end

FULL NAME: Haylie Adeline Collins CODENAME: Spitfire NICKNAMES: Wildfire, Hails AGE: 25 DATE OF BIRTH: 1 July, 1985 BIRTHPLACE: Staten Island, NY HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 5'7" / 200 lbs. EYE COLOR: Green [Red, White, Black] HAIR COLOR: Dark brown DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Ears pierced, three-inch scar on right shoulder SEXUALITY: Straight SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A FAMILY: Dr. Richard Collins (father, deceased), Detective Elise Collins (mother, deceased), Katelyn Collins (sister, presumed dead) CLOTHING: Having been on the run in harsh, unforgiving environments since her rescue, Haylie's clothes are hardly as wrinkle-free and clean as she'd like. With a very small warddrobe, she only has one "nice" article of clothing she managed to save, her pajamas, and her everyday clothes. Her usual gear consists of jeans, a forest green tank top, and a black jacket similar to the one Roy wears. Her footwear consists of tall, black combat boots that are faded and have been patched repeatedly as they are the only piece of clothing she has left from her detainment. Haylie can also be seen sporting a katana holstered to her hip that she fashioned from steel found in an empty Sentinel warehouse during her escape, as well as a makeshift First Aid kit she keeps in an old napsack.
…PERSONALITY; | ||||
At one point in her life, Haylie was a typical high school girl. Well-adjusted, upbeat and kind, always smiling. But after losing her best friend and dreams because of her powers, she changed. Now? Haylie is still relatively social, but has become much more introverted than she used to be. With this newly-introverted nature comes a tendency toward sarcasm and somewhat tactless honesty. At first glance she may seem callous, but deep down she's just as sensitive as anyone else. Due to the delicate, highly dangerous nature of her powers, she has become more level-headed and calm. Should her emotions get out of control, she could kill someone (again) and destroy anything around her. Haylie's power - the ability to destroy - has impacted her deeply. She is generally a non-violent person by nature - never using her "gift" to kill, only to disarm. And, even in her greatest moment of rage, she is incapable of (willingly) taking a life. As a result of this attitude, she harbors deep resentment for those who choose to kill (even to the point that she hates herself for what she's done). While she may not be an emotional person, she does hold a deep capacity for love and once she makes friends, she will fight with everything she has to protect them. In spite of years on the run from Master Mold and the Sentinels, Haylie firmly clings to the belief that her baby sister Katelyn survived the attack on New York City and is one of the few humans still alive. She differs from Roy's belief that it's an inevitability that they'll lose the war, and is only waiting for the moment where she can take down Master Mold and tell Roy that she's loved him all along.
…HISTORY; | ||||
Born on Staten Island, Haylie was raised by parents Richard and Elisa as an only child until the arrival of sister Katelyn at the age of four. Haylie took pride in being an older sister and quickly bonded with Katelyn -- especially once Elisa returned to work. With her mother working as a dedicated Major Case detective and her father a well-known trauma surgeon, Haylie didn't see much of her parents growing up but when she did? They doted on her and always made sure she and Katelyn knew how much they're loved. At age seven, Haylie's nanny encouraged her to take up gymnastics and Haylie fell in love with it. She went on to compete nationally several times while still focusing on her school work. Through high school, she seemed to shine. She was well-liked, talented, smart, and kind. She was inseparable from best friend Jill until the day after graduation when - on their way home from a shopping trip - a man jumped them and threatened to shoot Jill. Haylie managed to get the jump on the guy to pull Jill out of harm's way. It was when he turned the gun on the girls and Haylie stood protectively in front of Jill that something snapped inside her, and an invisible wave of power shot out from her hands. This wave knocked their attacker back while simultaneously shredding apart his body with a loud boom. The sight of this horrified both Jill and Haylie and ultimately ended their friendship because Jill thought that Haylie was "a freak" and she feared for her life. Luckily, Haylie's connections in Manhattan kept her from getting charged with murder or even being arrested for what happened. But upon further investigation, Haylie's family discovered that she was, in fact, a mutant. Scared and confused, Haylie put her plans on hold and moved upstate to Westchester County, New York where she could find a savehaven amongst her grandparents until finding a way to harness her powers. She spent three years with her maternal grandparents helping with demolition jobs around town to work on her powers until she came home to find her grandparents dead. The town was completely destroyed by a team of elite robotic mutant hunters known as Sentinels. In her devastated rage, she attacked the robots and discovered that when she touched them, they turned to dust. Her eyes turned red and after decimating three robots, passed out from exhaustion. Haylie awoke a week later from her capture in a large, government-like holding facility with a thicker skeleton and less tingling in her hands. Over her six months in captivity, she learned that she was in a mutant detention center courtesy of a rogue named Master Mold, who was trying to destroy mutantkind with his team of Sentinels. There, she met and was rescued by a mutant named Roy LeVoch. For the past eight years, Haylie has been assisting Roy in freeing mutants from Master Mold's holding facility and trying to take down as many Sentinels as she can in hopes of one day restoring peace to the world for mutants and humans alike.

SONIC BOOM: Combining energy and air molecules, Haylie can create loud sonic booms with the snap of her fingers and large shockwaves that can extend to a 30-foot radius with enough destructive force to shred apart a human body and demolish a house. [Haylie's goal is to be able to control directionality of her attacks and eventually be able to use that same ability as a defensive capability.] KINETIC EXPULSION: Channeling body heat into the ground or an object, Haylie can create bombs and/or explosions ranging from the force of a firecracker to that of an atomic bomb out to a 100-foot radius. MOLECULAR DISSOLUTION: Exciting molecules in an object to their explosive limit, she can completely shred apart an object, turning it to dust or shredding it completely. During this stage, her irises turn a fiery shade of red, and it's also the most dangerous for her to remain in. Haylie has discovered that if she pushes this ability too far, her irises turn completely black and when this occurs, the things she destroys don't dissipate entirely, but the pieces hover in front of her and she believes that if she keeps pushing her evolution, she may be able to reverse her power and manipulate matter to the point where she can reverse what she's done. INFRARED VISION: Due to her evolution, Haylie developed a unique ability to track heat signals. This ability is reminiscent of a python or pit viper's ability to track movement and "see" heat due to infrared-receptors in the grooves between the eyes and nostrils or labial pits on the upper lip. Instead of receptors or labial pits, Haylie's irises turn a complete shade of white and the change in neurochemistry involved gives her the ability to see and sense heat. PSIONIC IMPERVIOUSNESS: Due to the immense amount of control required by Haylie's powers, she has several mental walls set up deep within her subconscious in order to protect everyone from herself and regulate her body functions. As a result, Haylie is unaffected by most mid-level psychic abilities. PHYSICAL ANOMALIES: NEUROCHEMICAL ANOMALIES:
